My brother and sister-in-law came down with their 3 month old baby this weekend. We weren't planning on doing any pictures, but you know me.... I just can't help myself. Anyways, who could resist those baby blues? So we threw him on a blanket just outside the front door and got a few snapshots. And so as not to leave my other nephews out, I am throwing in a few of my other sister's kids that were taken at Xander's baby blessing. Nothing too formal - just a few more snapshots of the nephews.
I have always had a deep love for animals in general, and for Weimaraners in particular, so I was very excited for the opportunity to capture 4 gorgeous Weimaraners last Saturday. They are beautiful dogs and very well behaved (although still being fairly young, they had boundless energy!) And I couldn't have had a prettier location to shoot in either! But the most exciting news is that Morgan (the beautiful momma to be pictured on the black backdrop because she couldn't go outside due to being about to deliver) had 9 puppies yesterday! They are from Champion lines (Champion Silhouette Dream Maker and Champion T-Bar Country the Song). So if you or anyone you know is interested in acquiring one of these gorgeous dogs, please email me at vanessa@hondaphotoart.com And you can look forward to seeing some puppy pictures in a couple of months!
I have always enjoyed shooting families. Big families, little families... I just love to see the interaction. I have had a lot of really big families lately -as in extended families with lots of little sub-groups. Those are fun too. But it was really nice to spend a couple of hours with one family and have the time to get all the fun shots we wanted. And I couldn't have had a better family to work with - they obviously really love each other and were having a great time- and it showed! I had the hardest time picking out my favorites for their sneak peak. Thanks for the great session guys!
April 2, 2008 Dear Vanessa, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the time you have spent creating the gorgeous photos and photo books of my family for the last two years. You have captured such beautiful and spontaneous expressions on my children’s faces. I am delighted each and every time I look at the pictures in my home (and they are hanging on every available wall!) and I am so proud to share the books with friends and family.
You are a uniquely talented photographer and I truly appreciate your patience and determination. You generously take a multitude of photos and then manage to turn so many of them into masterpieces. I think that what sets you apart from other photographers however, is your ability to take the photos to the next level and make them tell a story. The Asuka Books you have created for my family will always be some of my most treasured possessions, because of the artistic and innovative way you bring the individual photos together with color and design. Thank you, Vanessa, for your time and talent. I anxiously await our next photo experience!
