It's beginning to feel a lot like...

FAMILY PORTRAIT SEASON! I just love capturing families - seeing the loving connections they share. I feel so uplifted and grateful for all that "my families" have to share by way of example. I always go home so ready to take on my own family - dinner, bedtime, loves and snuggles! And this beautiful family had more than its share of love to go around, so I took some home with me! And can you believe these gorgeous kids? I told mom that she must have paid extra at the hospital to get such beautiful kiddos. Thanks for sharing your busy day with me, "R" family! And I will have your pictures done soon.

This was the result of our attempting to get the "now hold hands and walk down the beach together" shot. I guess I should have mentioned they were all supposed to be going the same direction :-)

Autumn portrait session

I had a great time with the "R" family at the beach last Saturday. We weren't sure the weather would hold for us, but since it hadn't rained yet, we decided to try our luck. Of course, as luck would have it, within 5 minutes of getting out and starting the session the rain started coming down (you can see it in the picture of dad holding his cute little boy). So we hunkered down under the overhang of the cliff and a couple of scrubby trees and waited out the "storm." Fortunately it cleared up quickly and became a beautiful afternoon for pictures. This beautiful, growing family was a joy to capture - the boys were so well behaved and you could see the lovely relationship they all shared. I think they had almost as good of a time as I did. So thanks for your patience - here's your sneak peak!

Country Princesses

These twins were so beautiful and lovely in their beautiful princess gowns and fall outfits. And so well behaved too - especially for 18 month olds! And I couldn't have asked for more beautiful light or a neater location. We met up at Tanaka Farms in Irvine and it was just the loveliest location for a session. So if anyone else wants to get in some beautiful fall portraits here, let me know before the season is over! And special thanks to little "D" and little "A" for a special session.
