Whew...it has been a busy year for my family! 2 Babies born, 1 wedding and now 2 baptisms. This is Connor, my oldest son's cousin who is just 3 days younger than him. They are great friends. And on Saturday, he was baptized - we are so proud! I hope to post some pictures from the day here soon, but in the meanwhile, I thought I would post a few of Connor that I took for his 8th birthday and display at his baptism. Isn't he the cutest kid? And can you believe those baby blue eyes....? Girls, watch out in another 8 years!

End of Summer Sale & Collections announced!
I often get asked the question, "Do you offer any packages?" In response to many clients who view their images and "want them all," or at least want more than they feel like they can afford, I have created "Collections," (like packages) that make it more affordable to purchase more prints and products for much less than purchasing a al carte. (Savings of between $250 and $2070, depending on which collection)
I have put these into categories as I have found that different clients seem to gravitate towards different products. Many just want straight prints, so there is a gallery collection for you. Others want to showcase more images than will fit on their walls, or use them to tell a story about their lives and give those storybook albums as gifts to family. Hence, the storybook collection. Some just want to get pictures for their annual Holiday cards and maybe have a few prints as well - so we are offering a Greeting Card collection. And some clients want it all - including full resolution rights to the digital negatives so they can make their own prints and use their images creatively for their own ideas. The "I want it all" collection is the Negative collection.
To celebrate the end of a wonderful summer and the announcement of the new collections, I will be offering an additional 10% discount on all collections for anyone who places an order between now and Tuesday September 2nd. If you've been planning on getting your order in anyways, now is a great time to do it!
Also, I will offer a 10% disount on all session fees and (if you choose to order one eventually) all collections ordered by anyone who books a session by September 2nd. So if you book on Monday for examle, your session fee will be only $135 and any collection you may wish to purchase from that session will also be discounted by 10%!
You can view the new Collections from the Investment page of my website, www.hondaphotoart.com, or you can click on this link to see a PDF! Feel free to call or email me with any questions - 949-553-2434 or vanessa@hondaphotoart.com

Day to Play at Balboa Park
I met up with the "P" family last Saturday for some fun at Balboa park - a great place to shoot with lots of neat architecture and lots of fun things to do. Of course, baby "J" thought the streets and parking lot were the most fun places to play, and headed in that direction every chance he got (which was about every time we put him down to get a shot!). But despite the chaos of trying to keep everyone together, this family was so beautiful, we couldn't help but get a few cute shots... I will have your gallery available to view soon, Renee! See you on Saturday.

Salt Lake City Bride
As many of you know by now, I've been gone. Took a week-long "working vacation" to Utah to celebrate and photograph my brother's marriage to Mindie Marshall. It was a beautiful day and we had a wonderful time. Mindie and Jesse were so cute together - I love to see how solicitous Jesse is of his new bride.
But as is often the case with working vacations (especially with 3 young kids in tow), I got a lot more sight-seeing, bonding with family, and answering questions about when we would arrive at any given destination than I got work done. My best laid plans to forward my office phone to my cell and answer my emails every day were laid waste when the phone forward didn't work and I couldn't get on the internet for almost the entire week! So I apologize for those of you who were waiting for me to get back with you! And my dreams of getting completely caught up on editing my sessions, designing albums and readying orders during the long 13 hour drives went by the wayside when my laptop sucked up more juice than the car charger had to give and the desire for sleep at 2:30 in the morning trumped the desire to get ahead. So now I am playing "catch-up" on my previous jobs. Hence the reason no sneak peak of the actual wedding... yet. But I do have these bridals of beautiful Mindie to post. I took these when I flew out to do their engagement pics last May, but didn't post them so as to keep Jesse from seeing the dress. (Wouldn't you know it - the scoundrel figured out a way to see her private web gallery so he could see it before the wedding anyways... oh well). So here goes - Mindie at the Salt Lake City Latter-day Saint Temple.
