Meet Maxim - a very special boy with a special gift for drawing. I met Maxim in my daughter's preschool class a few years ago, and even then Kate told me that Maxim was "really really good at art." Well, we got together this week to capture some images for his website, www.maximsart.com, and I couldn't believe how incredible his drawings were. He was kind enough to let me take some home with me to keep. I'm sure they'll be worth a lot someday!
We had a great time just hanging out at the park, capturing Maxim doing what he does best. If you want to see more samples of his artwork, just check out his website (www.maximsart.com) and also the cool shirts he is wearing.
We brought in "Ted the Turtle" for inspiration and laughs. Maxim was so excited to see him! Couldn't help but grab a few shots of his little sister - isn't she cute? And a budding artist as well.
April 2, 2008 Dear Vanessa, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the time you have spent creating the gorgeous photos and photo books of my family for the last two years. You have captured such beautiful and spontaneous expressions on my children’s faces. I am delighted each and every time I look at the pictures in my home (and they are hanging on every available wall!) and I am so proud to share the books with friends and family.
You are a uniquely talented photographer and I truly appreciate your patience and determination. You generously take a multitude of photos and then manage to turn so many of them into masterpieces. I think that what sets you apart from other photographers however, is your ability to take the photos to the next level and make them tell a story. The Asuka Books you have created for my family will always be some of my most treasured possessions, because of the artistic and innovative way you bring the individual photos together with color and design. Thank you, Vanessa, for your time and talent. I anxiously await our next photo experience!
